Everything, explained simply
The game modes, how to host a live game, the tools for learning on your own, and answers to the questions people ask most.
Four ways to play a quiz
Every quiz can be played in any of these modes. Here’s exactly how each one plays out, step by step.
Solo Practice
Just you · no hostPlay on your own, at your own pace. You get instant feedback after every question and a final score — perfect for self-study. No host or other players needed.
- 1Open any quiz and choose “Solo Practice” — no PIN, no host.
- 2Answer each question at your own speed; see right away if you got it.
- 3Finish to get your score and a per-question recap to learn from.
Self-Paced
Own speed · host tracksThe host opens the quiz, then each player moves through the questions at their own speed while a live board shows everyone’s progress and scores. Great as a take-home assignment.
- 1The host opens the quiz and shares a 6-digit PIN (or a QR code).
- 2You join with the PIN, then work through the questions at your own speed.
- 3A live board tracks everyone’s progress until the deadline.
Assignment Link
Share a link · results collectedShare one link and forget about timing. Each player opens it whenever they like, types their name and works through the quiz alone — no PIN, no account, no waiting for you to start. Every result is collected under the same session, and you get a full report you can download as an Excel file.
- 1Launch the quiz as an Assignment and copy the link it gives you.
- 2Send the link out — each player opens it, enters a name and starts straight away.
- 3Watch results arrive, then download the full report as an Excel file.
Live Together
Everyone, in real timeThe host leads from a big screen and reveals one question at a time. Everyone answers the same question together on their phones; fastest correct answers score the most.
- 1The host launches the game on a big screen; you join with the PIN.
- 2Everyone sees the same question at once and answers on their phone.
- 3Faster correct answers score more; the leaderboard updates each round.
Team Battle
Live · in colour teamsA live game where players are auto-assigned to colour teams and their points combine into a team leaderboard — perfect for friendly rivalry in a classroom.
- 1Join the live game — you’re auto-assigned to a colour team.
- 2Answer together with everyone; your points add to your team’s total.
- 3The team leaderboard crowns the winning colour at the end.
